Not too long but still in depth enough

I like the improvements made since I last did it. Harassment part was a good - to get a definition of what this actually is. Nice to have text and video version. Only down side was the bits where it said some types of discrimination didn't apply to marriage and maternity - I couldn't understand why and how that would play out/look in real life.

Very informative

Good visual with role play

The role play elements broke up the video training, and added more interest. The sections were of the right length and built-in breaks is a nice addition.

Far too long for this topic.

Why is this trainingimportant?

Compliance

It's important that you comply with the law and know the ways in which it affects you and the way you work.

平等和多样性是承认everybody has a right to fair and equal treatment, irrespective of age, gender, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic. Originally, workplace legislation surrounding these rights was considered something of a ‘grey area’; with around 116 separate laws existing under the broad umbrella of ‘equality and diversity’. In October 2010, these were, at last, merged into one coherent act:The Equality Act 2010.

The Equality Actincludes 'Protected Characteristics' which are differences between people which cannot be used as reasons to treat them any differently. Doing this would be against the law.

The Equality Actalso includes 'Prohibited Conduct' which are actions that people are not allowed to do to each other on the basis of any of the protected characteristics. This is illegal too.

Protected characteristics include: age; disability; gender reassignment; marriage and civil partnership; pregnancy and maternity; race; religion or belief; sex; sexual orientation.

Frequently askedquestions

Equality and diversity in the workplace training is designed by iHasco to promote fairness, respect and equal treatment in the workplace no matter what race, gender or religion that employees may follow. This course works in line to raise awareness of the protected characteristics which are outlined in The Equality Act 2010, addressing discrimination, harassment, and unfair treatment based on factors such as age, disability, gender equality, race equality, religion, and sexual orientation.
Equality and diversity in the workplace training is the best way to foster an inclusive work environment. It helps companies comply with legal requirements, avoid discriminatory practices, and create a culture of respect that all employees feel comfortable to work in. By raising awareness and understanding of diverse perspectives, EDI training contributes to improved teamwork, productivity, and employee well-being.
To create a respectful and harmonious workplace it is recommended that EDI training is conducted on a regular basis. Whether this is on a 3-month basis or 6, this will allow all new employees to be onboarded into your company culture.
EDI training efficacy can be measured using a variety of methods, including participant feedback surveys, post-training equality impact assessments, and tracking diversity and inclusion measures inside the organisation. The regular review enables continual progress and guarantees that the programme achieves its goals.
